The Braunschweig drummer Eddie Filipp is regarded as a musical chameleon behind the drum kit. With impressive stylistic versatility, he moves confidently between rock, blues, soul, jazz, and pop – and it is precisely this versatility that makes him a sought-after studio and live musician.
His powerful and nuanced groove can be heard on over 100 productions. He has played and toured with artists including Andy Scott's Sweet, Alex Conti, Bahama Soul Club, Clem Clempson, Inga Rumpf, Lake, Hannes Wader, Marialy Pacheco, Chris Farlowe, and Stoppok – a musical spectrum ranging from rock through Latin and jazz to singer-songwriter.
In 2019, he followed in the footsteps of drum legend Jon Hiseman and took his place with the British band JCM (Hiseman, Clempson, Clarke) on an England tour. Since 2021, he has been regularly touring with the Hamburg Blues Band.
In addition to his work as a musician, Eddie Filipp has also been active as a producer for over two decades and operates his own studio, where he accompanies a wide variety of artists and projects.
